A Haven in the Carpathian MountainsCamp Dreamland is a special initiative by Frontier Horizon and partners Ukrainian Mercy Foundation, designed to provide Ukrainian children affected by war with a much-needed escape from the harsh realities they face. Set in a serene and supportive environment, Camp Dreamland offers children the opportunity to experience joy, friendship, and healing through various activities and emotional support. These camps provide a break from the ongoing conflict, allowing children to just be kids again.

A HAVEN OF HOPE & JOY
Camp Dreamland primarily serves orphaned and vulnerable children from Ukraine, many of whom have experienced loss, displacement, or trauma due to the ongoing conflict. These children come from some of the most war-torn regions, and our camp offers them a temporary reprieve from the dangers and stresses of daily life in their country.
Each camp session includes:
- A Wide Range of Activities: Children participate in outdoor sports, arts and crafts, drama, horseback riding, and team-building games. We also include seasonal events like snow tubing, water park visits, and cultural activities to help the children create joyful memories.
- Counseling and Emotional Support: Camp Dreamland is staffed with professional counselors trained in trauma care. These experts work closely with the children to help them process their emotions, cope with their experiences, and build resilience for the future.
- A Safe, Supportive Environment: The camp ensures that all activities meet rigorous safety standards. With on-site medical support and the presence of trained volunteers and staff, the children receive the care and protection they need.

Volunteer at Camp Dreamland
Volunteering at Camp Dreamland is a life-changing experience, not just for the children, but for the volunteers themselves. As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of Ukrainian children, offering them the care, compassion, and support they so desperately need.
What Do Volunteers Do?
- Lead and Assist in Activities: Volunteers help organize and participate in a wide range of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, drama, team-building games, and special events like trips to waterparks or snow tubing.
- Provide Emotional Support: Many of the children attending Camp Dreamland have experienced significant trauma. Volunteers play a crucial role in offering comfort, listening, and providing a sense of stability throughout the camp experience.
- Assist with Wishlist Giving: Volunteers also help assess the immediate needs of the children during the camp and ensure that Wishlist Giving contributions are used effectively to provide necessary items such as educational materials, wellness supplies, and gifts.

- Attend Pre-Trip Orientation: Learn more about the camp, the children you’ll be working with, and the activities you’ll lead. We’ll provide all the training and guidance needed for you to succeed.
