Help Us Grow Health and Hope in Nicaragua

In the rural community of El Cristal, many families struggle to access fresh, nutritious food. Our community garden project will change that—one seed, one child, one meal at a time.

Hunger Shouldn’t Be a Child’s Daily Reality

In El Cristal, Matagalpa, families often rely on diets lacking vital nutrients—causing stunted growth, illness, and learning difficulties among children. Access to fresh fruits and vegetables is rare, and many parents simply can’t afford the cost of healthy food.

This garden isn’t just about growing food—it’s about growing futures.

Seeds of Hope: The Community Garden Initiative

Frontier Horizon is partnering with local families, teachers, and volunteers to build a 300-square-meter community garden that will supply fresh produce for school meals and home kitchens.

Together, we’ll:

  • Prepare and cultivate nutrient-rich soil

  • Install sustainable irrigation and composting systems

  • Train families in organic gardening

  • Provide hands-on lessons for children through a weekly “School Garden Day”

  • Distribute harvests to improve children’s daily nutrition
