Nadiya K.

Nadiya joined her foster family in September 2023 and is currently in the 8th grade, studying through individual home tutoring as she continues to recover from her third heart surgery in October 2025. Despite all she’s been through, she’s doing wonderfully in school and especially enjoys math, literature, and geography. She loves to sing and read, and those who know her describe her as incredibly sweet, grateful, generous, kind, and gentle. Nadiya lives with vision challenges (astigmatism and amblyopia in both eyes) that require ongoing care, and she also needs dental treatment, including braces on both jaws.
